A spin off of BET+'s hit series The Family Business, set in New Orleans and centered on the Duncan family and their club, Midnight Blues. Production split between New Orleans and California, which meant that half the series was shot on location in the city while the other half required recreating the look and feel of New Orleans from scratch on the West Coast, matching spaces, textures, and atmosphere so that the two halves read as seamless. The centerpiece transformation was a California mansion redesigned and dressed from the ground up to serve as a working casino.
